Hi everyone. I just wanted to say hi and tell all of you how much we enjoyed our church family here for a visit. It was an great week. We enjoyed every minute of it. It always seem to be so special when any of you come. I think it's because God is in it. We've moved on the compound now. We're in the extra room in the clinic. So far it is working out very good. I like it because I don't have to worry about leaving at night when the team is here. I didn't like missing some of the devotions. Now I don't have to. We had a team here this week from Texas and it was so good. They had a teen sleep over at the Baptist Training Center, Friday night and all day Saturday. They also had the service sunday morning and it was wonderful. All the youth sang and some even testified. Some I wouldn't have every dreamed they would testify. God is so good. We're looking forward to seeing and sharing with Larry Browder and his team. It's going to be an exciting two weeks. Love you all and keep us in your prayers. We pray for all of you alot. We miss you very much. I think that is the hardest part is missing not only our family, but our church family as well. Love you Martha and Walter

Hello everyone. Everything here in Belize is going great. Right now it is raining. It's the first time it has rained in about a month, so we're enjoying it. The weather has been great. The dinning hall is coming along. Ralph has started on the interior of the dining hall. Putting up interior walls. It will stop for a while because Ralph is leaving Monday for the states and will be gone 2-3 weeks. We started a Wednesday night bible study a few weeks ago. The same one that you guys are doing. It is going great. Everyone is excited about it. I want to get the other one that we all did last year while I'm home so we can do it after this one. Ralph, Penny, Walter and I went to Mexico last Sunday for a couple of days and we all had a great time. It was very exciting. We went to a big mall and to a new Sam's Club that just opened. We'd better close for now we'll see you next month. We can't wait to come home. Love Martha and Walter

Just a note to say everything is fine. Last night i preached at Uriah. We had a full house. Damaris was interpreting for me and God began to bless and I could not waite for her to interprate for me and I just preached. It was a very moving service. We got up early this morning and left the compound at 6:00 am, ate breakfast in Belmopan and went to Lamani. The team in May will really love this trip. We got on the river boat and took an hour and half boat ride up the new river to the Myan ruins. We saw alligators, Howler Monkeys, and many other wild life. This will be a highlight for the team. The ruins are wonderful to see. It will be about an all day trip. Tomorrow morning Frank, Ralph, and I are going to head South to Danrigga and look for mission opportunities. Yesterday, we went to Spanish Lookout and spent the day in that area looking at Cabannas that the Meninites build. We are all fine but are staying busy. I have made a lot of pictures. (Randall) Hope all went well at Darthula for you last night. I was praying for you. (Jerry) Frank wants you to e-mail him at franwaldo321@yahoo.com and send him the papers that he gave you on team preparation and anything you have on organizing a team. There is a person down here that needs them. (Sam) I miss you and I bought you a Belize hat. (Brenda) I love you and miss you. Keep holding the fort down, it will look good by the time I get home. I will try to write tomorrow if we get back in time. Keep praying for us. We love and miss you all. God Bless. Layton

Hello all. Wow what a busy day. It all started this morning. I woke up at 5:30am. I thought it would be daylight shortly so I took my shower. I kept waiting for the sun to come up and then realized my watch was on US time. We went into Belmopan for breakfast and then came back to the compound. I had eggs, refried beans and fryjack. It was good. It was in the 80's today and was really nice. The nights are cool and you need blankets to keep warm. We then went into Belize City and toured most of the day and then went to the airport and picked up a team of 5 people from Newburn, North Carolina. They will be staying in a Hotel in Belmopan. We went out and ate supper then went to visit with Martha and Walter. Their house is real nice and they seem to be doing just fine. Tomorrow night I will be preaching in the Wednesday night service. The Spanish people will be there also so I will need an interpretor. That will be my first so pray for me. When I preached in June, I preached for english speaking only. Frank will e-mail Jeff some pictures tomorrow and Jeff can post them. It is late so I will write more tomorrow. I love and miss you all. Keep praying. P.S. --- Glad the truck is fixed. Layton.

Hello all. Frank and I made the trip fine. We got here at 3:00 pm US time. We had supper at Cheers on the way in and have spent the evening getting settled in at the compound. I am staying in the pink cabana and Frank is in the purple one. The weather is beautiful and the temp. is mild. We just got back from a little market where we bought some junk food to snack on. We also went to the Baptist Training center for a visit. Martha and Walter are fine and want us to visit their house tomorrow. I will write more tomorrow. We sat for a while on the porch of the cabanas and it was beautiful looking over the compound. You can sure feel God's presence. We will probably turn in early tonight. Keep us in your prayers. God Bless. Layton

hello everyone. It's great to hear from you guys. We are doing great. We're been quite busy lately. We got moved in and we love it. It's a 4 bedroom/2 bath house with plenty of concret surrounding it. That's my favorite part because of all the rain we get here. It also has a 2 car carport on the back. That's great to dry our cloths. We don't have a dryer, but that's okay . With the carport we don't have to worry about that. We've had teams hear for the last three weeks so we've been real busy in the clinic, plus delivering alot of present to the kids that was sent down. That really took a while, but we loved it. We've had dentist, and doctors and nurses the last three weeks. It has been great. They had me doing compluter work. Logging the patients into the files. I'm not use to sitting a long time but I still enjoyed it. Well I'd better close for now. Love you all. ps, If anyone wants me to bring gifts for their kids, I'll be glad to get them to them. We'l be home April 2, and will return May 11. The day before the team comes down. Looking forward to seeing you all. Love, Martha and Walter

Hello everyone. Just a line or two to say hello and we love you all and miss you. You are our family in Virginia and Tenn. and we miss you like family. We can't wait to come home in April and see everyone. We think of you all, all the time. Everything here is going good and we're looking forward to Layton and Frank coming next month. We're still having a lot of rain but that's okay , it keeps it cool. We're enjoying our new home. We have orange trees, grapefruit, and banana trees in our yard. We especially have enjoyed the bananas. They are the little apple/bananas. They are really good. They have a slight apple taste. ummmmmmm. We love you all and I write again soon.

Hello everybody from Belize. Sorry it's been so long since I wrote. We've been so busy. Yesterday Ralph and Joel poured the first section of concret for the dining hall. But guess what, one of the dogs walked on it last night and Ralph is down there now trying to fix it. He had it slick as a mirrow . I hope he can fix it. Oh well, I never know a cement job to not be fooled with in some way. Walter and I will be moving into our house this weekend. We're really excited. We got the hotwater heater put in yesterday and all we have to do is move the couch Ralph and Penny loaned us and buy a refrig. It'll be plenty of extra space, if anyone needs it when the teams come down. We are so looking forward to all of you coming. We'll be coming home in April, good Lord willing, and will return somewhere are when the first team comes down. Love all of you, Martha and Walter

This has been a different Chrsitmas for us being away from everybody, and it really helped hearing from you all. May God bless you all this coming year. We finally rented us a house, but we're not in it yet. We are in the middle of cleaning it up and geting it ready. We won't move in till Ralplh and the kids get back. We're having a watch night service tonight. I pray that a lot of people come and bring in the new year with the Lord. Joel is going to preach and of course there will be a lot of singing. Hi everyone. This is to send you Merry Christmas greetings from Belize. We wish we could be there with you this Christmas but we'll be there in spirit any way. We'll be having a community service Sunday afternoon. I'll be singing as well as Joel. Each church has 15 min. to do what they are led to do. I'm sure it will be real nice. We're looking forward to it. The ladies of our church are coming over Friday to help me cook 100 cupcakes. The community is feeding 100 of its senior citizens for Christmas. We're doing the cupcakes. It will really feel like Christmas then. You all will be in thought and our prayers. Please remember us as well. We love you all Martha and Walter

Hi everyone. Just an update for you, Ralph and the kids reach Indiana on Thursday. Ralph and Rositta has colds but everyone is okay, just tired. I need everyone to pray for the church here. The devil is really attacking the church and most of the congregation has quit coming. Joel and I have scheduled a New Year's Eve service. We're praying that the Lord will touch their hearts and lead them back home. We still haven't poured the concret yet. It hasn't stopped raining long enough to pour it. The concret company us shut down for serveral weeks, and not the rain. I let you know when we get it poured. Walter's not likeing the rain, because it get in the way of his walking. We should know in the next few days when we can move into our house. Keep us in your prayers. As soon as Ralph and Penny get back we're going to get our tickets to come home this summer. We're still depending on the Lord to guide us the rest of the way. We miss you all, and eat a hamberger for us. We miss the grocery stores and the resturants. I guess it's what they cook in but the food just don't taste the same. Of course our favorite place is Cheers, but that is a little bit too far to go very ofter. Love you all and miss you and pray for us. Martha and Walter

Hi everybody. Keep the messages coming. You don't know how great to hear from you all. We are doing great. Ralph and the kids and getting ready to start on their trip. They leave tomorrow bright and early. We'll be going to the airport tomorrow and picking Joel up. It sure is going to seem strange with Ralph and the kids gone. We've learned our way around pretty good, so we can get out on our own and see things. Bill, I hate to tell you, but both puppies died. Some rats had got in their food and contaminated it and made both of them sick. It was really sad to watch. All the other dogs and great. The mother dog is gaining weight. She's beginning to look good. We don't get to see Holly and her family too much. They haven't been coming to church lately. Holly's mother said they would be back when Joel gets back, so I hope to see them there this Sunday. We do see them as we go by their house. Holly is as sweet as ever. They all miss you and say hello. We haven't got the cement poured yet. It has been raining so much, they can't get the truck backed in their to pour it. The ground is just too soft. We'll keep trying. I close for now. We love and miss you all. Walter say's hello and he loves you all. Layton he sure does miss Wed. night bible study. Take care and we'll see you next summer. Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time. We all went to the Baptist training center and had a Thanksgiving feast with about 20 other missionaries. It was wonderful. All of us had one thing in common, we were away from our families and our home. It really was a beautiful day. The weather has changed and it is wonderful now. It has been in the 70's. We can actually go to church and not sweat. We decorated the church for Christmas yesterday. Today we had a guess speaker, Rev. Ebear(not sure of the spelling). You all would have liked him. It was a wonderful service. After church we went out to eat and then went to another Harvest service. It was so beautiful. All the fresh fruits look so good. We haven't poured the concret yet because the concret company was closed Saturday. So we rescheduled it for Tuesday. That's when they would be open again. So we'll try again. How is Bill doing? We've been praying for him. I hope he's doing well. Larry, we need tickets but not with your package. I just need to know the flight numbers of the return trip for Laytons trip and the flight number of your trip back. We can't book with the groups because we're flying on two different groups. Well I'd better close for now. We miss you all , keep us in your prayers. I haven't been feeling well lately, but God is good and watching over me. Continue to pray for Penny, she has a MRI tomorrow, followed by a bioposy. Love you all Martha and Walter

Hi everybody. Guess what? It is Sunday morning and it is beautiful and about 75-78 degrees. We had just sunday school this morning because we are going to another Harvest service this afternoon. Another church in the community is having one and they came to ours so we're going to theirs. It was so good to hear from some of you. When I here from you I don't think about getting homesick. Ralph wanted to know if the water that Bill brought back was tested. He'd like to know what the lab thought of it. It is christal clear and really taste good. We are really excited that it's seems so good. Hopefully we won't have to buy water anymore. I sure do miss my ladies sunday school class. Shelia is such a good teacher. I'm teaching the adult class here. I'm sure they could do better, but the Lord is really blessing me. Well I'll go for now. We'll take pictures this afternoon and tomorrow as we work on the dinning hall. We love you all and continue to pray for us that we'll stay in God's will. Walter says hello and he loves you all and misses you. love always, Martha and Walter

She hasn't seen a surgern yet. Keep praying for her. Ralph sold one of the buses yesterday, so good Lord willing we're going to pour concret Monday in the dinning hall. We're really excited about it. The kids are out of school Monday, so they'll be able to help us. We'll take pictures and send you. Well I'd better close for now. I sure would like to hear from more of you. Please write when you can. Love to you all Martha and Walter and all the Digman family.

Hello everyone from Belize. Walter and I are doing great. We've had a good week. Yesterday we rode down to the Carribian and it was so beautiful. It was really a sight to see. Dimaris left today for the United States. She'll be staying with some people that came down on a mission trip. She'll be gone till January. Maybe she can come visit Hiltons while she's there. Well I had to do it. I cut my hair today. It is short. There is a girl here that went to beauty school in the states and I got her to cut my hair. Boy is it cooler. I love it. Well I close for now. Hope to hear from you all soon. Martha

Hi you guys. It is so good to hear from all of you. It really makes our day to read you messages. We had a good day today. Of course it rained again. We left about 11:30 and took Penny to the airport. We stoped at cheers and at lunch. It sure was good. Wished you all were here with us. Please everybody pray for Penny. She left for Dallas Texas to see a doctor. They suspect breast cancer. We're praying real hard and it's not going to be a problem. Also pray for her daughter. She called yesterday and she is having a biopsy Monday. Tell everyone we said hello and we love you all. Ralph is already putting me to work tomorrow teaching the adult sundayschool class. He does know what he's getting into. Ha! Ha! I've started teaching some of the girls how to play the piano. They are doing real good. Will close for now. God bless you all. Martha and Walter

Good morning from Roaring Creek! It is raining, raining, raining today. I think it has rained all night. Bill said he really enjoyed the rain on the tin roof of his cabana. But boy does it cool things off. It feels great. I need to know some information for Jerry Browder. I need to know the date the team will be coming down in June. We need to get tickets reserved for us next summer. We plan to come home with the team in May and go back with the first team in June. I would appreciate it if someone would get me that information. I talk more later. Love you guys and miss you already. But it's nice to be able to talk to you via internet. Martha and Walter

Hi everyone. It was great to hear from some of you. We had a good day today. Penny went into town and after lunch, Walter and I went down to the compound and cleaned the church up. I hated to take all the palms down, but we had to. Ralph said we'll be pouring the concret floor for the kitchen part of the dining hall. Tomorrow they will be working some more on the pump, I think. A lot of things going on right now. Bill is all ready to come home but I'm sure he'll return next year with one of the teams. The dogs around here are really going to miss him. Maybe Walter can take over is job of feeding the dogs. I guess that is all for now. We're looking forward to hearing from more of you soon. Martha and Walter
